  Easton Arrows

We've never shot a hunting arrow that has outperformed the Easton Full Metal Jacket shafts. In our opinion, they are top of the class for super small diameter, hard hitting arrows. We shot the 400 model which is a heavier arrow that delivers bone crushing kinetic energy down-range. We shot a bull moose, a calf moose, a whitetail buck and multiple does, turkey and bears with these shafts and achieved complete pass-throughs on each animal without exception. A couple of the most surprising were the bull moose and one of the does.
On the bull, Keith shot with a quartering angle and the arrow passed from almost the first rib right down to the last and still flew 20 yards further before hitting the ground. That's a lot of body mass to pass through on a thick-skinned animal and still achieve that much penetration. On a doe that Paul shot, he neglected to account for the strong winds and his arrow hit a few inches forward of his point of aim. The impact point was right smack in the shoulder blade and guess what...yep, a pass-through with a 1.5" cut fixed blade G5 broadhead.
Target archers are looking for the fastest, flattest flying arrow and that craze has caught on a little in the hunting community too. In our opinion, hunters should be most concerned about achieving maximum kinetic energy and that's what we've found in the Easton Full Metal Jackets. Further to this point, when you can also throw in +-0.002 degree of straightness in each arrow, a weight tolerance of +-2 grains and a hard finish to the exterior for easy arrow removal from targets, we don't know why you'd look anywhere else.
