Hoyt
We shot the Hoyt Katera XL throughout all of the 2008 hunting season and killed a multitude of game
with them. From spring turkeys, to late Summer black bears, October moose right through the late-season whitetails our Hoyt's
just kept laying them down.
Though we spend a lot of time on the range in the off-season, our primary purpose with archery equipment
is to put animals on the ground so for us, the key features in a bow are forgiveness, smooth draw, speed, low hand shock and noise.
The Katera XL has a generous brace height (7.5") and ample axle-to-axle length (36") for maximum forgiveness. The 'Z3 Cam and 1/2' design somehow produces
blazing speed (320 IBO) while at the same time maintaining a smooth draw that distributes the weight nicely throughout the entire draw cycle.
Low hand shock and noise are on the lower end of our list of priorities but we can say with a certainty that Hoyt doesn't think so
because they've got those two features covered as well.
Have a look through our stories and videos from this year and you'll see just how well our Hoyt's performed
in the moment of truth. We couldn't be happier with the Katera XL and would recommend it to any archer.
