From spring turkeys, to late Summer black bears, October moose right through the late-season whitetails our Hoyt's just kept laying them down.     Though we spend a lot of time on the range in the off-season, our primary purpose with archery equipment is to put animals on the ground so for us, the key features in a bow are forgiveness, smooth draw, speed, low hand shock and noise. The Katera XL has a generous brace height (7.5") and ample axle-to-axle length (36") for maximum forgiveness. The 'Z3 Cam and 1/2' design somehow produces blazing speed (320 IBO) while at the same time maintaining a smooth draw that distributes the weight nicely throughout the entire draw cycle.
